Saratoga Springs, New York, has a lot to offer. From the treasured landmarks to the cozy coffee shops, there’s something for everyone. Join me on a quick tour of the city.
Whether you want to stroll, enjoy the festivals and concerts, picnic or take a ride on the wooden carousel, Congress Park in the heart of Saratoga Springs is the place to be. With fountains, springs and gardens, this beautiful hot spot features the historic and enchanting Canfield Casino where weddings and special events take place. You can also peruse the Saratoga Springs History Museum, which is located inside the Canfield Casino. A fun fact—scenes from the movie Seabiscuit were filmed in the Canfield Casino.
From July to Labor Day, enjoy a day at the races by going to one of the race tracks—Saratoga Race Course and the Saratoga Casino & Raceway (RACINO). The Saratoga Race Course is the oldest continuously operating thoroughbred track in the U.S. The RACINO features harness racing, sumptuous dining, thousands of gaming machines and a night club. No matter the season, there’s always something going on.
When walking through Saratoga, you’ll see a thriving downtown complete with spas, historic homes, local businesses, coffee shops, restaurants, museums, and a performing arts center a few minutes from downtown. It also hosts a fun night life.
The city has a wide variety of homes from historic to new construction. A vibrant community, Saratoga is home to six elementary schools, one middle school and a high school. You’re also close to great places to visit. You can take a train or drive to New York City, Boston, Vermont, New Jersey, and the list goes on.
